Hello,
I’m Liz, a psychiatrist in private practice in NYC. Some years ago I had the opportunity to attend the first International Symposia for Contemplative Studies in Colorado hosted by The Mind & Life Institute. I got to meet many of my ‘heroes’ and it rocked my geeky world: Buddhism and Science together! – Some of what I learned there became part of my clinical practice. Following that year, my ability to travel became somewhat limited by family obligations, and I didn’t return. But now IT comes to my computer! And I can again relish in this place where my two worlds mix so beautifully. Can’t wait!
Hi Liz! We have a similar background in psychiatry. My journey to connect consciousness practices and medical science started in 2002. Nice to meet you here – as you probably know, sometimes it gets lonely out there 😉
