feeling grateful from the Yukon Territories in Canada. We have a Tergar community which has gone on zoom. I am grateful for this group and the method that Rinpoche has used to make a vast study of contemplation, study and action available to those living in the Yukon. There have been workshops with teachers of Rinpoche that has been very helpful in a life long learning of emotional balance to benefit others. My life as a Holocaust child in Poland now as an elder, has been a life-long journey of understanding what is love. The Buddhist view has been key to understanding and opening my mind to unconditional love. Every moment is a challenge to practice this.
Thank you to all the speakers, organizers, participants, viewers and those who can’t or are not with you all. It is exciting and hopeful especially for scientists, educators, parents and all those on the path of their life.
Namaste

I watched a few of the Day 3 presentations this afternoon. I especially appreciated the Guided Practice: The 4 Pillars of Well-Being by Mingyur Rinpoche and the introduction provided by Richie Davidson. It was very helpful for Dr. Davidson to share the story about His Holiness the Dalai Lama and how he can effortlessly move from one emotion to the next in seconds. I went on my daily walk afterwards but almost didn’t because it was raining. As I went outside I opened my umbrella and noticed the dark clouds and rain was coming down over me but the sunshine was right behind me. The sunlight glorified the clouds and as I passed a magnolia tree in bloom on my left I noticed how vibrant pink the blossoms looked with the sun shining on them against the illuminated clouds. Tears came to my eyes gently. All of the images were fleeting as the conditions changed with each step I took. This experience reminded me of Mingyur Rinpoche’s reflections on awareness and clouds, and the story about His Holiness that Dr. Davidson shared. Each emotion has its beauty and gifts. Be grateful and let go.
